June 26: Administrator Sessions
10:00-12:00
Digital Leaders Apple Workshop
Education leadership have very unique needs for their own personal use of technology. We want to help administrators understand the difference between portability and mobility and why that matters in schools. Administrators tell us that they want help getting into classrooms more than their being in their office so we will focus on specific strategies and techniques in a mobile environment. Additionally, what does effective integration of technology look like and how can administrators help their teachers teach above the line. Be sure to bring your iPad and or Macbook laptop.
1:00-3:00
School Change: A Lesson from Gordon Ramsey - Yancy Unger
Beyond foul-mouthed and blustery, Chef Gordon Ramsay is passionate about his craft with a talent for teaching others to be successful restaurateurs. From menus to serving customers, he reveals the knowledge, skills, and dispositions it takes to make changes and be successful. As schools move to canned and microwaveable curriculums, schools are offering less in value to students. By analyzing Ramsay's change model, lessons are learned in becoming passionate about teaching and preparing great learning experiences for our students.
